How long will my cheese take to arrive?

Order before 2pm and your cheese will be delivered the next working day. If you order after 2pm your box will be delivered the following working day. If that doesn’t work for you, don’t worry - for £5.99 you can also opt for a weekend delivery.

How will my cheese stay fresh during delivery?

Whatever the weather, your cheeses will arrive perfectly chilled. We use biodegradable cardboard boxes insulated with wool liners and ice packs, ensuring you won’t receive a melting puddle of cheese fondue!

What will happen to my cheese box if I’m not in?

When you order your cheese, you’ll be prompted to enter instructions for a safe place to leave your delivery. 

Our wool liners and ice packs will also ensure your cheeses remain chilled until you get home and crack open your box. 

How many people will the boxes feed?

Here at The Cheese Collective we offer two sizes of cheese box. 

The Usual and The Introduction include 5 hand-picked award-winning cheeses weighing in at around 750-1kg, and are ideal for groups of two to six cheese aficionados. 

Meanwhile, The Indulgence and The Fiend include 8-10 cheeses weighing around 1.5 - 2kg, and are perfect for larger groups. 

I don’t like blue cheese or goats cheese - can I still order a box?

Here at The Cheese Collective we understand that not all cheeses suit all tastes, so before you panic, you’ll be happy to hear that you can customise your box when ordering. 

Not a fan of blue cheeses? Ditch ‘em. Does goat’s cheese make you gag? See ya later! We can work around your tastes to ensure you enjoy your cheese box to its fullest. When selecting your box, you be asked if you would like to include blue cheese, goats cheese or opt for a vegetarian only box.

What else comes in the box?

Your cheeses will arrive in a recycled box, alongside reusable wool liners and ice packs.

Inside your box you’ll also find collectable cards for each cheese, including information about the cheesemaker, flavour profile, awards and much more.  

How long will the cheeses keep for?

Your cheeses will arrive wrapped, and we’d advise storing any leftovers in these wrappings (that is if you haven’t devoured the lot…)

Our cheeses can be enjoyed for a minimum of one week after opening - during that time it’s best to keep the cheeses in a separate compartment of your fridge or in a plastic container lined with paper towels.  

What happens to my subscription when I’m on holiday?

If you have a subscription but are due away on holiday, don’t panic - we can easily change things round to suit you. You can skip a month, you'll be prompted when you receive your email advising of your upcoming charge date or log in and amend your charge date manually. 

If you have any issues or concerns, simply email us at info@thecheesecollective.co.uk and let us know which dates you would like to change your delivery to. Please allow 7 days notice for any changes. 

 

How do you work with The Trussell Trust?

Over at The Cheese Collective we’re very conscious of how lucky we are - eating cheese all day is the best job ever!

However, we also want to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry. That’s why with every cheese box you buy, you’ll be supporting our partners at The Trussell Trust. 

For every cheese box, we’ll donate a meal to a Trussell Trust food bank, so while you’re enjoying your cheese, you can know you’ve made one less person hungry.

How do the subscription gift cards work?

We think our cheese boxes are great gifts, and offer subscription gift cards for both our The Usual and The Fiend boxes.

Although you select a date, delivery address and other instructions we won't send out the first box without email confirmation.

Once you've completed your purchase you'll receive an email asking for instruction on delivery. If you would like the cheese to be sent straight away, simply respond to this email with the recipients delivery details, contact number and preferred delivery date. 

If you would prefer to give the gift card, just ignore the email and tell the recipient to get in touch when they would like to receive their first box.

How long are subscription gift cards valid?

Our gift cards are valid for 3 months from purchase so please make sure that the recipient gets in touch and sets them up as soon as possible! We can set the subscriptions up around your schedule and into the future, but please do let us know before they expire. Once gift cards are expired we're unable to to extend.

How do I cancel my subscription?

We understand that sometimes you may want to cancel, and we certainly hope to have you back soon!

You can skip a month, amend the schedule to arrive every bi-monthly or quarterly or you free to cancel at any point. 

You can make all of these changes by logging into your account.
