Alsop and Walker began in 2008 when Arthur Alsop discovered a friend was giving up making cheese and returning to South Africa. Seizing the opportunity, he purchased the business and started to create a unique style of world award winning cheeses.

Based in East Sussex, their milk is sourced from a local farmer.

Woodside Red is a cheese that is orange in colour with red natural rind, the colour is obtained by using a natural colouring from a South American thistle, annatto. It is a smooth creamy cheese part comte, part gruyere with a hint of cheddar.

It is matured for 4 months.

How does it work?

Step 1

Once we receive your order, a selection of our award-winning British Cheeses will be cut and wrapped just for you.

Step 2

Whatever the weather, your cheeses will arrive to you perfectly chilled. We use recycled cardboard boxes insulated with compostable and reusable wool liners, ensuring you won't receive a melting puddle of cheese fondue...

Step 3

The saying goes "Here today, gone tomorrow" and that's certainly true when it comes to our deliveries! Order before 2pm and we'll send you your cheese the next day.
